LJ Dance – Our aim

The aim is above all for pupils to indulge and be encouraged in their love of dance and appreciation of music, and the integral part it plays within dance training, in a friendly and inclusive environment.

In order for pupils to develop a sound, strong and safe technique, they will follow the careful progression of the structured RAD syllabus and there will be the opportunity to work towards RAD exams should they wish.  The individuality of each pupil is very much valued and students will be encouraged to progress at a rate tailored to their own personal needs in order to ensure their physical health and well being.  Should a pupil show exceptional ability then this talent will be nurtured and directed towards the appropriate channels.

By the very essence of dance training, individuals learn to think and move creatively, whilst also learning the self-discipline required in the training.  A safe and positive environment will be provided to all to encourage a development of confidence and self expression and nurture their personal qualities, whilst inspiring the sheer joy and art of dance.
